Rung
as a wedding compliment to Mr Frederick J Pitstow [the Society's
Treasurer] and Miss Marjorie Parker.
From Ringing World Jul 21st. The name of Pitstow has long been a familiar and honoured one in the Exercise, and on 11th July a mixed band, largely consisting of well-known ringers, rang a peal of Stedman Cinques at Saffron Walden in celebration of the wedding of Mr Frederick J Pitstow, who for 25 years has been treasurer of the local society and was formerly hon. secretary of the Essex Association. The ceremony took place at New Southgate on July 8th, and the bride was Miss Marjorie Parker. Mr CT Coles, who called the peal, served with Mr Pitstow at Salonica during the Great War. |
